Happy Hearts Day!!

Hello everyone! With my daughter home again today, I only had a little bit of time to spend in my craft room. Since she was home, I decided to make her Valentine's Day card. She is on a Hello Kitty kick right now, in fact, tomorrow's project is to make 10 Hello Kitty invitations for her Birthday party. After that, I get to make a bunch of party favors, all Hello Kitty related. It's going to be all Hello Kitty, all the time for the next week or so at our house :) Here is what I came up with:

So, I cut Hello Kitty at 4.25 inches from Hello Kitty Greetings. I blinged up her little ribbon with stickles, it looks so fancy. I ran the cream background paper through my Dotted Swiss Embossing folder. The dotted paper is in my scrap box. The pink ribbon is from Michael's, as is the red paper and the pink card base. The "love you" is actually 2 stamops that I used together from CTMH.

I think my daughter is going to really like this card! It has some of her favorite things - hello kitty, hearts, bling, ribbon and best of all, pink!! Now I have to get going on the rest of my Valentine's Day cards. Between the Hello Kitty party, and Valentine's Day my Gypsy and Expression are going to be buzzing!

Monsterrific

It is challenge day over at Paper Playtime. Today's challenge is to make an easel card. Here is what I came up with:

Pretty cute eh? The cut is from Mini Monsters and decorated with a cute little Peachy Keen stamp. I discovered last week that my LSS just started selling PKS, I am in such trouble!! The cute little saying is from My Pink Stamper. I pulled out my spots Cuttlebug folder to embellish the bottom half of the card, and my threading water punch to decorate the base.

Come play along with us at Paper Playtime. We would love to see what you come up with :)

You're Invited...

This is a quick card I made up as a sample. I am making up a bunch of invitations for a family member, and this is one of the options. I want to make sure it is easy enough, and quick enough that I could make quite a few.

The paper is all Stampin Up, and so is the stamp, it is from a set called Close as a Memory, and is one of my favorites. The Cuttlebug folder I used is called Victoria. I love how classy it is. the ribbon is from the Dollar Store.

I hope you will join me tomorrow to see what I came up with for the new Cricut Cardz Challenge. It's a good one :)

Tree - mendous :)

Woo hoo! 4 12 hour shifts done!! I'm sorry I haven't posted anything in the last few days, but the past 4 days have been exhausting, and I just didn't have the energy - but I am off for the next few days, and plan to catch up, and get some cards made up :) Here is today's card.

I made this card for my in-law's 50th wedding anniversary. I had to make 100 of them, and I wanted it to be reasonably easy to mass produce. This fit the bill. I love this stamp set - Branching Out from Stampin Up. The paper is all from StampinUp and so is the ink. I bought the ribbon from the dollar store. I also used a Cuttlebug embossing folder on the light pink paper.

There are a few challenges I am submitting this card for this week:

Our Creative Corner
- Embossing
Just Scraps - anything goes
Paper Pretties - use ribbon
Cute Card Thursday - use a tree
Challenge Up Your Life - celebrations
Fab 'n' Funky - use your favorite color (these days it's pink :)
Pixie Dust Studio - pretty in pink
Sweet Stampin Challenge - pretty in pink

Hope you all have had a good week so far - I'll be back tomorrow :) See ya then!

You scream, I scream, we all scream...

for ice cream!! I made this little card for a challenge on the Fantabulous Cricut blog. They challenged us to make a cool yummy treat, with an option to make it a shape card. here is what I did:

I made the ice cream from Doodlecharms, and welded it on my gypsy. I decided to weld it at the cherry, intead of along the side. It actually worked pretty well! The paper was all Stampin Up. I then used a cuttlebug folder ov the cone part to give it a little texture. The cherry is stickled, for a bit of bling. I also used My Pink Stamper stamps. The sentiment sats sweet thoughts of you, which I thought was appropriate for an ice cream card. I did a bit of doodling around with my white gel pen, and inked up the cone a bit... all in all I think it's cute!

I had hoped to do a few more challnges this week, but only had one day off from work. Maybe next week will be better. Thanks for visiting :)
