Happy Sunday! Yesterday at took a class at my LSS - The Cutting Garden - we made a beautiful mini album. I am going to make one for my mum as her brag book this year. Anyway, the girls were talking about all their dies - spellbinders etc. I got me wondering how many dies I have - I realized that I have 3 - that is kind of sad, but I so love my Cricut, that I have never really felt I needed anything more than that. The girls were trying to convince me that one rolled flower die was not enough. I really felt that I could find a Cricut cartridge that would cover all my flower needs. The dies run $15 and up here, and I knew their had to be a cheaper way.
I went to Michaels last night, and bought the Flower Shoppe cartridge. After I got home, I decided to cut the 10 versions that can be rolled, and see what options this cartridge provided for me. I decided to take a picture and post it here, just in case anyone was considering this cartridge. Here are those 10 flowers:
I laid them out in the order that they are on the cartridge, the first 10 cuts. I cute everything in white and sponged them in pink. Here are some close ups...
I love both of these. They look very much like gorgeous roses. I rolled each of these with my quilling tool. It is just perfect to roll these flowers.
These two I don't like quite as much, though my husband really liked number 3 - neither of us like number 4 much though...
This one I do like. It's really pretty.
I just LOVE these ones. I think they are both gorgeous! I think they're my favorite on the whole cartridge!
Number 8 is so pretty too! Number 9 - meh -
Number 10 is OK - I like it better than # 9 - even though it's similar...
I know these rolled flowers aren't the actual intention for these cuts, but I think they look really pretty, and I am pretty sure they fulfill all my rolled flower needs!
I'll be back tomorrow with my Paper Playtime DT project, hope to see you then!
A la prochaine...
